Hong Kong registered WYW Holding Ltd. Plans to build a $30 billion city that includes a seaport and industrial area on Daru Island in the Torres Strait, Australian media have reported. The National Education Union (NEU) is including pay rises in “key demands” and bosses have said that any reduction in class sizes should be “long term” not just for social distancing.
Parents from the Ann Arbor Reasonable Return group have pushed for some form of in person classes for students for several months, particularly for younger students and students with special needs.District officials have said they’re targeting an early March return to in person classes, although a specific date has not yet been set.Specific dates for a return to in person classes will be recommended by Superintendent Jeanice Swift, approved by the school board and confirmed with staff, parents and the community at least two weeks prior to the return of students at each stage, according to the district’s plan for a tentative return to the classroom. The school board meets again on Wednesday, Feb. 10.Stage 1 of the plan includes students in pre kindergarten, young fives and kindergarten who have chosen the hybrid in person learning model, as well as students with high level specialized learning needs.

The ALRC will hold its annual separated license renewal hearing meeting on Thursday. Every alcohol license expires in June and the vast majority are approved at a Council meeting in June. The special meeting provides an opportunity to review problematic licenses.
