I think it makes sense to have long races on weekends and kind of shorter races, disregarding the weather, during the week. I really like the format NASCAR has here. It’s a good give and take. David Ortiz’s spring essentially began with the DH being struck out by a college pitcher and it never really got any better in the Grapefruit League, as he batted .054 with an on base plus slugging of .287. Sox fans would like to think he’ll flip the switch when things count for real, but Ortiz hasn’t hit better than .250 in spring training since 2006, and generally speaking he’s been a really slow starter over that same span. His Aprils have improved recently, as he hit .405 in 2012 (after hitting .228 in the spring), and .500 last year (after missing all of spring training), but generally speaking he’s still a slow starter.

The next day was dedicated to a celebration of the 15th anniversary of the sister university relationship between UNO and SU. In addition to a formal ceremony highlighting the dozens of exchanges that have occurred over the past 15 years there was a gala concert featuring the UNO Jazz Combo, Saule, SU’s Studium Mixed Chorus and Pavasaris Women’s Chorus, and the folk rock ensemble Kitava. UNO students joined forces with SU students on several numbers including Route 66, Senor Blues, and Amigos Para Siempre.

I made the decision to sell the house in early February. I did the research and found a fantastic real estate agent (who I still use for everything today), spruced it up to get it market ready, and put it on the market by early March. At that point, we found a house perfect for us just five minutes north of where we currently resided and put in an offer.
